Torque Wrench Calibration System [TWCS] is a solution developed for calibrating the Torque Wrench through the series of automated process. The software takes control over the system and drives through the test for calibrating the tool. It displays the Capacity and Unit of Measurement by sensing the type of tool used in testing process. Data communication is through USB and COM ports and hardware includes NI Data Card.




To develop an application software to calibrate torque wrench at different set points in clockwise and anticlockwise directions for a given no. of cycles. Capture the values at different set point and store the data into database and generate calibration certificate.

Hardware: DAQ 6008
Software: Microsoft .NET C# 2.0, MS-Access, SQL Server Reporting Services

NI DAQ is used to send digital signals to start and stop the motor and also for JOG operation. It is also used to receive the emergency signal from the machine to stop the process. Application software controls the machine to test the torque wrench at different set points for a given no. of cycles. Acquire data from signal conditioner through RS-232 and store into MS-Access database. Generate unique calibration certificate for each test and prints the certificate. Search option is provided to analyse the test history.
